Child Protection Office Mission Statement - Diocese of Paterson
The Diocese of Paterson through the Office of Child & Youth Protection is committed to maintain a safe environment for children and youth by reaching out to all who serve the Paterson Diocese and provide sexual misconduct and safe environment trainings. The Office of Child and Youth Protection is to ensure that all locations in the Diocese are fulfilling the church-wide effort to keep children safe from abuse. Our promise to protect children and youth flows from the ministry and example of Jesus Christ.
"If any person may have been abused by any priest, they should immediately contact their local County Prosecutor's Office and the Diocese's Victims Assistance Coordinator: Dr. Ken McNiel at 973-879-1489. You may also be in touch with either of the Diocesan Response Officers: Monsignor T. Mark Condon, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, 973-777-8818 Ext. 205 or Sister Theresa Lee, FMA, Chancellor/Delegate for Religious, 973-777-8818 Ext. 248."
