CHERUB CHORUS

New for 2007!  Cherub Chorus is a special singing group open to children in grades Pre-K - 2.   The group will meet approximately once a month DURING 10am mass in place of Story Time.  Children interested in singing will leave mass for the usual weekly bible lesson and singing "practice", and will return to mass share their music with the congregation.  Membership is on an event-by-event basis and requires no long-term commitment. 

Fall Cherub Chorus is planned for 10/21 and 12/2, 10:00 mass

OLGC CHILDREN'S CHORUS: Serving the Lord - a Few Weeks at a Time!

A singing group open to all parish children in grades 3 - 6.  We sing at mass approximately once every 6 weeks and on Christmas Eve and Easter. 

First- and Second-Graders up for a big challenge are also welcome.  Speak with Kelly Wisneski first (OLGC Singers@yahoo.com).

We work in 3-4 week "series" - 2 or 3 rehearsals, followed by singing at mass, followed by a week or two off.   The children can join us for as many or as few series as their schedules allow.

Our Tentative Fall 2007 Schedule:

Rehearsals week of 9/23, 9/30, 10/7
10/14 sing at mass

10/21 off
10/28 off

Rehearsals week of 11/4, 11/11, 11/18
11/25 sing at mass
12/2 off

Rehearsals week of 12/9, 12/16, 12/23
12/24 sing at mass - 4pm pageant

SOLOISTS AND ANNOUNCERS:

Sometimes our music allows for a solo or features a small group of singers.  We also need students to announce song titles and numbers when we sing at mass.  Interested chorus members in grades 3 and up should contact Mrs. Wisneski.  A few extra rehearsals are required for these jobs, time TBD.
